Mocking the underclass
August 30, 2009
“St. Peter don’t cha call me cause I can’t go I owe my soul to the company store” – Tennessee Ernie Ford.
I was delighted to read in today’s paper that the whacky folks at the Skico are laughing it up. I’m sure things have been dreary around there since the end of the Bush administration. At least they’re carrying on Bush and Cheney’s policy of taking care of the rich, lowering prices on the most expensive passes, while screwing the working class by raising the price of the Classic Pass and eliminating others.
It cheers me enormously that this little corner of corporate America can maintain its ability to mock the underclass in these trying economic times. Fine work.
