Mistake has been corrected

Dear Editor:

I agree with Mr. Jorde’s comments of Dec. 23, 2010 (“A tip for diners,” The Aspen Times). It is easy for tips to be misinterpreted or incorrectly processed. While this may be a direct result of simply human error it is, and should be, something that is corrected immediately.

We apologize for our lack of urgency in rectifying any error in a timely manner. The moneys were returned to Mr. Jorde’s account on Dec. 22.

We assure both visitors and the community that our policy is to accept the lessor versus greater interpretation of tip amounts.
