FORT COLLINS, Colo. ” A 76-year-old Texas man who’d been missing since Saturday has been found alive and well in the northern Colorado mountains.

Larimer County authorities say Jimmy Carter of Dallas was found around noon on Monday by hunters and has been reunited with family members.

Carter had been camping with his brother when he failed to return from a hike on Saturday.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Kathleen Messick says a man and his son from Minnesota who were hunting happened upon Carter. Carter later told authorities that he thought he had only been out hiking for two hours and didn’t realize he had been gone for two days.
