Dear Editor:

Not the Karamazovs! I went with my juggling partner to see a group that we both know well and adore. We were both looking forward to seeing the Karamazovs again.

In all the ads that we saw, the two founding members of the troupe were featured along with two new members. I’ve known them for decades, and they’ve always rotated members in and out but the two founding members have always performed.

The show was fine and the audience had a good time … but they did not see the Flying Karamazov Brothers, who are spectacular jugglers. This was blatant bait and switch. If you bought tickets to see The Beatles with Paul McCartney and John Lennon in the posters, but four people you’ve never seen before come out to perform, wouldn’t you feel like you were ripped off?

The audience had a right to know that they were not actually going to be seeing any of the members of the troupe that made the show!
