The Roaring Fork Vipers U12 baseball team competed in the May Madness 12AA Silver Tournament last month in Lakewood. After winning their first four games of the tournament, the Vipers met the Western Slope Jack Rabbits for the championship. The Vipers dominated from the start, winning the title game 12-0.

Aspen residents Betty and Howie Wallach were among those honored May 28 at the New York Hilton as 50-year members of the United Federation of Teachers. Local 14 year old writes young adult novels
Nyala Honey has done more in her 14 years on this earth than many people accomplish in decades. The 14-year-old Basalt resident has published two young adult novels, which she’ll talk about and read from at Explore Booksellers at 2 p.m. on June 8.
