Midvalley park plans celebration
Aspen, CO Colorado
EL JEBEL ” Crown Mountain Recreation District is hosting a grand opening Saturday for the popular midvalley park it developed.
Crown Mountain Park saw limited use last summer but people were urged to stay off the freshly-seeded playing fields. Use has exploded this summer on facilities that range from tennis and basketball courts to ball diamonds and soccer fields.
The grand opening will begin at 8 a.m. with a Run for the Crown, a family fun run. Frank Martin and Band will play music beginning at 9 a.m. and a brunch will be served from 9 to 10 a.m. There will be a dog talent show at 10:30 a.m.
Above It All Balloon Co. will offer tethered rides throughout the morning, weather permitting.
