Michael Vincent Nadon

Michael Vincent Nadon died at his residence in New Castle on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006. He was 42 years old.

Michael was born in Denver on April 11, 1963, to Albert and Mary Lou (McCartney) Nadon. He married Kerry Long in Glenwood Springs in October 2000. She preceded him in death. Michael was a contractor in the Glenwood Springs area. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Glenwood Springs.The family requests that Mike’s friends honor him with their favorite photos and written stories. The photos and stories will be made into a memorial album at the reception. There will be a copy made for the Elks Lodge and one for Mike’s family.

He is survived by his four sisters: Margaret (Dan) Meier of Thornton; Ann (Herman) Kanter of Overland Park, Kan.; Nancy (Michael) Burke of Anchorage, Alaska; Patty Nadon of Woody Creek; his brother Jim (Melissa) Nadon of Thornton; father-in-law Phil Long; his beloved dogs Hampton and Champagne; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kerry, and his parents, Albert and MaryLou Nadon.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association, the Animal Society or a charity of one’s choice. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home Chapel, 405 W. Seventh St. in Glenwood Springs. A reception will follow at the Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge, 51939 Highway 6 and 24, in Glenwood Springs.
