Messages of hope
During Obama’s campaign for the presidency a large stack of postcards were delivered to the Democratic headquarters in Carbondale. The postcards are beautiful, creative works of art made by kids and adults from Carbondale, using recycled materials. They are all addressed to President Obama at the White House and are full of inspiration and hope for our country and our future.
They were hung on the walls of the headquarters during the campaign and were very much appreciated by all who saw them. I had been saving the postcards to send on to the White House as soon as Obama moved in, and just so all you artists know, they have completed their journey. They have been sent.
