Menacing incident at Basalt school

BASALT ” Basalt police are treating an incident at the middle school in which a male student allegedly pulled out a knife during school hours as “an act of menacing.”

Police were short on details Wednesday, the day the incident allegedly occurred. Basalt officer Jeni Newcomb did say that while other students were present, no one was injured.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
