Memories of John and the King

Dear Editor:This week a long time ago Elvis Presley died. Twenty-nine years ago on August 16,1977, I went up in the morning to Starwood in Aspen to my friend’s house, John Denver. He answered the door and said “Hello, Elvis is dead.”I remember them today and both legends, the King and John Denver are gone. The music lives on.Gregory T. OchockiLake City, Colo.
