Memorial: Maureen Roin
The dedication of a tree in Glory Hole Park in Aspen to longtime Aspen resident Maureen Roin will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.Roin was born in Chicago, and moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in their early ’60s with her husband, Dan, and children, Howard, Julie and Kathy. From then until her death in January, they shared their time between Aspen and Winnetka, Ill. Howard’s wife, Judy, Julie’s husband, Saul Levmore, and Kathy’s partner, Judy Raynor, are expected at the dedication, as well as Roin’s grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Kate, Nathanial and Elliot. The family invites all those who might like to honor Roin to attend.
