Meeting set on Aspen stormwater regs

ASPEN – Aspen will hold a public meeting next week on the proposed stormwater regulations contained in its draft Urban Runoff Management Plan.

The meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Rio Grande meeting room at 455 Rio Grande Place.

Following a brief presentation on the proposed regulations, public comment will be accepted. The Urban Runoff Management Plan will be presented to the Aspen City Council on March 22 for first reading.

The regulations will guide development and redevelopment in Aspen as it pertains to drainage and stormwater, according to April Barker, stormwater engineer for the city.
