Meet Your Merchant: Cadeau Aspen
Tanya was working in the interior design industry and wanted to start her own business encompassing her passions, floral design, gourmet foods and luxury items for the home and spa. Along side her husband, Executive Chef Randall, they decided to merge their expertise and create Cadeau Aspen.
Cadeau Aspen offers distinctive floral design for all occasions, gourmet specialties and gift baskets, and luxury gifts for the home and spa. Products are sourced from around the world with a strong focus on local Colorado products including Colorado grown flowers. Cadeau Aspen is also in the process of launching a signature line of gourmet foods as early as June, 2011.
As a startup business and in the planning stage of Cadeau Aspen, we were quickly reminded of what’s really important to ourselves and others, family, friends, and the community we live in. We wanted to give back to the community by choosing our business concept carefully and incorporating local products and vendors wherever possible. We also created our tag line “To give is to receive” during these tough times, to remind ourselves that it feels really good to reach out and give every once in a while.
Cadeau Aspen is owner-operated; however, we have the goal to be in a retail storefront as soon as possible. At that time we will search locally for individuals who share our passion for all things wonderful.
Cadeau Aspen is currently searching for a storefront location in Aspen with the goal of being open for Fall 2011. The company will continue building an Internet presence by improving the website and other social media outlets. Tanya will continue to visit businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and offices etc. to introduce Cadeau Aspen to the local clientele. Most importantly, Tanya and Randall will continue to attend trade shows, meet with local purveyors, and focus on their signature line of gourmet products and housewares.
The best things about running a business in The Roaring Fork Valley are the people and the environment! There is a positive energy in the valley that sets it apart from anywhere else. Being able to enjoy this beautiful mountain community as our home and place of work is truly a gift.
