Meet you down the road

Dear Editor:

I’d like to acknowledge the generous spirit and dedication of Bob and Cindy Glowacki and all the staff at the Double Dog and Steak Pit. We’ve had the wonderful experience of playing music in their fine Irish pup for the last four years, and we really appreciate it.

To our good friends and fans that came down on Tuesday nights – we love you all. Thanks for giving us a good reason to work on the music we love to play.

Finally, it’s a shame that a continuing lease arrangement could not be agreed upon in these rough financial times. These particular lawyer/landlords are infamous in Aspen. I guess there have always been givers and takers, and there always will be. I’d urge anyone who cares to look to Tom and Carolyn Moore for example if they want to learn about a sense of community. They were my landlords in the Monarch Building for 30 years, and the word “greed” was not in their vocabulary.

Thanks Bob, thanks Cindy, Paul, Clancy, Carol, Josie, Michelle, Banjo Bob, Ronnie and anyone else I’ve forgotten. We’ll meet again!
