Meet the candidate
November 15, 2007
On Thursday, Nov. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Toklat Gallery in Basalt, a reception is being held for Colorado state Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald.
I would like to personally invite valley residents of all affiliations to come and meet this dynamic leader, who has for many years and in many ways helped protect our quality of life and guide our state’s prosperity.
From my perspective, Sen. Fitz-Gerald to be one of the most savvy, determined, compassionate, diplomatic, effective and forward-looking legislators that I have ever worked with in Denver.
With Congressman Mark Udall running to serve in the U.S. Senate, the race is on to fill his seat in the 2nd Congressional District. During this most turbulent and important time, Sen. Fitz-Gerald has stepped to the plate, giving voters the chance to bring her experience, ethics and intelligence to bear on the issues facing Colorado and the nation.
Please come and hear for yourself Sen. Joan Fitz-Gerald’s unique insights, gleaned from the front lines of policy making in the Colorado Senate, on the leadership and direction needed to seize the opportunities and address the challenges our country faces.
