Maytin fights for clients

Dear Editor:

Read your article on the douche bag case and wanted to comment (“Lawyer at odds in douche bag case,” March 13, 2011, The Aspen Times).

I have known Lauren Maytin for 18 Years, and I fully understand that she can be extremely combative and aggressive, especially in support of her clients and the law. There is no one I can think of who I would want in my corner if I was accused of a crime in Aspen other than Mrs. Maytin.

That Mr. Fordham requires an active defense is likely true. That the police could have found a better way to send Mr. Fordham home to his bed to sleep it off is an unavoidable conclusion. That Mrs. Maytin and Mr. Nedlin will never get along is likely a good thing to insure that Aspenites get the justice they deserve. And maybe a mediator would be a good thing to keep Judge Fernandez-Ely from having to rule on the Constitutionality of Feminine Hygiene Products.
