Mayor’s bad judgment |

Mayor’s bad judgment

Dear Editor:

If the mayor has so little confidence in city management, why does he continue to employ them?

We spend over $1 million (and a million or more in mistakes) a year in salaries to city managers that make some very bad decisions from very good information.

The mayor’s solution is to hire city council to manage Aspen.

This is unprecedented. If the mayor feels that our city is not well served by the people hired to manage, then they should be replaced. The fact that the mayor recognizes this and does nothing other than to offer himself as an alternative shows even worse judgment and proves the mayor incapable of managing the community or council.

Who voted for this man and why?
