Max Marolt fund

The Marolt family has established a memorial fund in honor of its patriarch, skiing icon Max Marolt, after his death this week at the age of 67.

In lieu of flowers, the Marolts have requested that donations be made to the Max Marolt Memorial Ski Fund. Marolt’s son, Steve, said the fund will provide ski passes and lessons for underprivileged children.

Those interested in contributing to the fund can mail donations to P.O. Box 10671, Aspen, CO 81612.

The family is in the process of planning a public memorial service for Marolt, who died while skiing in Argentina. A date and time will be announced later this week.
