Martin oversteps his role

Dear Editor:

John Martin has overstepped his role in so many ways since being a county commissioner. This one is outrageous.

The reason we elect officials is to represent diversity in a community. Silencing these differing opinions is directly contrary to the process we enjoy in the United States. Thank you, Mike Samson, for recognizing this abuse of power and doing something about it. Trese Houpt has been alone in her defense of the people of Garfield County.

John Martin needs to be reminded who he works for as a public servant. He has once again gone over the edge in his alliance with the oil and gas companies.
