Maroon Lake fee to begin Saturday

Motorists traveling to Maroon Lake will be charged $10 starting Saturday, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

There won’t be any travel restrictions on private vehicles until June 15. Starting that day, private vehicles will be restricted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Bus service provided by the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority will start June 15. Buses will depart Aspen Highlands every 20 minutes from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and then every 30 minutes until 4:30 p.m.
