Marion Joan Reno

Marion Joan Rizzo Reno passed away in Longmont on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Marion was born on Jan. 4, 1932, to Phillip and Ann Rizzo in Chicago. She married Augie Reno Sr. in Jeffersonville, Ind., on Aug. 5, 1951. Marion and Augie owned and operated Reno Auto Body & Restoration in Basalt for many years after they moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1981. They lived in the valley until moving to Longmont in 2000 and were members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood Springs.

Marion loved tending her gardens and making her fabulous spaghetti sauce for her family. She and Augie were always present at civic events and at their grandchildren’s sporting and school activities.

Marion is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Augie and Kim Reno of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Aspen; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Grady Enge of Longmont; grandson and wife, Lucas and Geneva Enge, of California; granddaughters Nicole Reno of Longmont and Cory Reno of Chicago; and granddaughter and grandson-in-law Emily and Loren Johnson of Longmont.A memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 26, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1235 Mountain View Drive in Aspen.
