Many thanks from the Spring Board

Dear Editor:

Many thanks to everyone who attended and supported Spring Board’s annual BBQ benefit, Spring Fling, on Aspen Mountain last week.

On that beautiful bluebird day, the Buckhorn Cabin area was full of colorful characters (dressed in their ’80s best) partying for a great cause: giving back to the youth of the Roaring Fork Valley.

A special thank-you is owed to Aspen City Market, Aspen Skiing Co. and Budweiser for their generous donations to the event.

Spring Board recommends grants to Roaring Fork Valley nonprofit organizations through the Spring Board Advised Fund of Aspen Community Foundation. Spring Board’s mission is to engage the young generation in the Roaring Fork Valley

and empower them to invest in their community through charitable giving and volunteerism. We appreciate the hard work and devotion of the board members who

are rolling off this year: Kaitlyn Archambault, Jamie Bethell, Lindsay Forbes, Patrick Kelly, Meredith McKee, Spencer McKnight, Kathy Yang and Mike Yang.

Our new and returning board members look forward to a great year of giving back to

this valley … and having fun along the way.

Alison Friedman

chair, Spring Board
