Many thanks from the Red Brick
Thank you to all who hosted and supported the Red Brick Council for the Arts by attending our annual Artist Tribute and Benefit Dinner this year honoring Rita Blitt, internationally acclaimed filmmaker, sculptor and painter.
The event was set in a tent on the Red Brick lawn, with table decor and glowing, round, yellow lanterns reflecting an important element in Rita’s art. Timothy Corbin Handley Catering prepared and served a delicious dinner. Coffee and dessert were served in the Red Brick Community Art Gallery. Our 35-plus volunteers contributed to a glorious Aspen evening.
With the continuing participation and financial support of our donors and volunteers, we are able to offer our annual events: Halloween Boo Bash, Art Start Kids Show for Aspen kindergarten-through-eighth-grade students, the Aspen High School Art Show, after-school art programs, a valleywide Eco Art Exhibition and the monthly First Thursday Gallery Opening Receptions featuring local artists.
Again, thank you to our community.

Aspen’s dirty downtown alleys are enough of a blight that the city government is taking the initiative to clean them up this week.
