Many thanks

Dear Editor:

I wish to publicly send a very big thank-you to all who helped to make the “You Never Can Tell” fundraisers for Childhelp River Bridge for sexually abused children a big success. A heart full of thankfulness to Alpine Bank for being a sponsor, which allowed a group of seniors and students to be our guests, and to our 2008 “For the Love of a Child” honoree, Jim Calaway.

I wish to thank the Wheeler Opera House for their assistance and for being so generous to nonprofits in our valley, the chapter members of Childhelp River Bridge who worked so hard (I promise no more four events in one week!), the cast members of “You Never Can Tell,” all the crew and friends who pitched in to help, Susan Ackerman, our director, and the staff of Childhelp River Bridge who are able to help the little ones because you are there supporting the center, the Garfield County commissioners, the Carbondale Aspen Glen Rotary Club and all those who attended and/or sent donations.

I thank you on behalf of the children. You are showing that they are loved and that someone cares.
