On behalf of the Community Schools of Carbondale and Aspen, I’d like to thank everyone who came together in a huge community effort to make the second annual Studio Tour an overwhelming success. The support of parents, artists, volunteers, advertisers, local newspapers, community radio and studio visitors came together to create a fun, creative weekend that was enjoyed by many people and raised funds for our public charter schools.
Thank you to all who attended the tour and brought your children to learn about the creation of art. Thank you to the artists who generously donated their art, time and energy, as well as opening their private studios to the public. Thank you to the galleries and retail businesses that participated in the tour and advertised on the studio guide.
We would like to recognize some of the many people who contributed to the Studio Tour, though we cannot possibly mention everyone who deserves to be thanked. Thanks to Alpine Bank for underwriting the event for two consecutive years. Thanks to Linda Halloran for coordinating the Studio Tour for two years. Thanks to: parent volunteers Deb and Joe Burleigh, Nan Sundeen, Kathy Guinn, Cathy Britt, Cathy Click, Fiona Pax O’Donnell, Lori Burgess, Jen Soucie, Liz Pencel, Nancy Kimbrel, Mario Larouche and all the families who sold the map/guides. Thanks to KDNK, KAJX and Carbondale Arts and Humanities for helping to publicize the event. Thank you to Sherrie Hall of CCS, Skye Skinner of Compass, Lynn Kirchner of Amore Realty, Independent Press, Karyn Andrade and the entire community for your support.
