Man’s body found in burning trash bin in Grand Junction

Aspen, CO Colorado

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. ” Grand Junction police are investigating the discovery of a body inside a trash bin found burning in an alley.

Fire crews responded to the blaze about 12:45 a.m. Thursday. Firefighters extinguished the flames a short time later and discovered the charred remains of an adult male.

Following an autopsy, the Mesa County Coroner’s Office said the man died of smoke and soot inhalation and ruled the death an accident.
