Man pleads guilty to DUI, weapons charge

ASPEN ” Nathaniel Taylor, 27, who in June allegedly brandished a weapon, crashed a vehicle on Highway 133 and fled the scene, agreed to a settlement in Pitkin County Court on Monday.

Taylor was facing charges of prohibited use of a weapon, menacing, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, careless driving and failure to notify police of an accident after the June 17 incident.

He pleaded guilty to drunken driving, use of a weapon while drunk and reckless endangerment.

Taylor’s sentence was postponed until Sept. 8 to give the victims a chance to testify if they choose.
