THOMASVILLE ” Thomasville resident Tim Hosfield, 41, was charged with felony assault Saturday night after allegedly hitting his roommate over the head with a vodka bottle during a disagreement over who should wash the dishes.

The men reportedly rent a mobile home together on Frying Pan Road in Thomasville, said Joe Bauer, patrol director for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department.

Hosfield was charged with felony assault because deputies determined that the cut on the victim’s head was a serious bodily injury, Bauer said.

The victim, who was taken to Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, has been released and is recovering, but remains “pretty banged up.”
