Making a difference in Mexico

Dear Editor:

I would like to take this occasion to thank all the people who worked together for the Mexico trip for the classes of Peter Wescott and Matt Fields. On behalf of all the people of Ignacio Zaragoza, thank you. The experience was a delight to all of us ” from the projects to help our schools to the interaction between students and adults from both sides.

We know that many people had a hand in raising funds and giving permissions for this trip. I only wish you could all have seen the faces of our children with the improvements to their schools. Especially from my barrio, Ojo de La Piedra, we cannot find words to tell you how grateful we are or how much we enjoyed the time together. As a retired teacher from Colorado who is now living here, I look forward to working with everyone again next year. Thank you.
