Lynn Ann DeBoer, 47, of Aspen, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 10.She was born May 9, 1959, in New Ulm, Minn., and spent her childhood growing up in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul. She lived in Aspen for the past 22 years.
Lynn’s passions included her family and helping others. She was a two-term president and long-term member of the Aspen Education Foundation, working specifically and successfully to raise money to improve education in Aspen. She also served on the district accountability committee and was a board member of the Aspen Valley Medical Foundation. A tireless volunteer, she benefited many people in the community with her hard work. She was a partner in Aspen’s Headlines Salon for seven years, putting her entrepreneurial spirit to use as a businesswoman.Lynn is survived by her husband of 18 years, Skyler; sons, Christopher (Christer), 16, and Alexander (A.J.), 15; mother and stepfather, Joyce and Salvatore Monforte, of Yorba Linda, Calif.; father and stepmother, Arlen and Patti Kirchoff, of Hutchinson, Minn.; brother Bob Kirchoff and sister-in-law Deb Schroeder (niece Madeline and nephew Zachary) of Lino Lakes, Minn.; brother Anthony Monforte of Yorba Linda; sister and brother-in-law, Stefanie and Drew Hageman (nephew Dylan) of Roseville, Minn.; grandmother Myrtle Kirchoff of Glencoe, Minn.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Marilyn DeBoer of Wichita, Kan.; sister-in-law Penny DeBoer of Andover, Kan.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. She will be missed dearly.
