Lucille Marie Miller

Lucille Marie Miller, 91, passed away March 13, 2013.

Lucille was born Aug. 19, 1921 to Ellen and Harry Turner in Fruita, Colo. She moved to Glenwood Springs and attended school until the sixth grade, then moved to Emma with her mother and stepfather Howard Cantrell, where she attended school through eighth grade.

She married Allen Miller on March 17, 1959. Al passed away April 18, 1982 while they were living in Texas. Lucille stayed in Texas until 1997, then with the help of her family, she moved back to Carbondale to be close to family. She resided in senior housing until 2007 when she moved into Heritage Park assisted living until her passing.

Lucille enjoyed reading, crocheting, fishing, rock hunting and eating.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Ray and Melvin Turner, sisters May Watson and Audrey Turner, two nephews and one niece.

She is survived by her brother Ted (Laura) Contrell of Carbondale, four nieces, three nephews and many great-nephews and nieces.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned.
