Looking for my car

Dear Editor:Believe it or not, this is not the dumbest thing that I’ve ever done, but it may be close. It all began a couple of weeks ago. On Thursday, Aug. 25, sometime after 8 p.m., I parked a 1988 silver Honda Prelude, license 840-LLU, on Midland Avenue in Basalt. I haven’t seen it since.OK, the keys were in the ignition and the car was probably left overnight. I decided to walk home after tippin’ a few too many at the local watering holes. The question is, “Dude, where is my car?” If you have any part of the answer, like: what happened to it, where it is, or how I can get it back, please call either my answering machine, (I do not have caller ID), or the Basalt Police Department at 927-4316. If you plan on keeping it, please let me know, so I can return the new seat covers to Wal-Mart and cancel the insurance. P.S. The car burns a quart of oil every 500 miles. There is a case of oil in the trunk.Rob TepperBasalt
