Look at yourself

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:Those who have strong emotional reactions to abortion certainly have not only the right but the obligation to make their opinion felt in the political arena. But they also have the obligation to look closely at themselves to try to understand where some of this emotional vehemence may be coming from.Is there some authentic possibility in their own lives that is being left unlived, some potential that belongs to their real being that they are afraid to explore and are therefore aborting prematurely, before it is given a fair shake at life? It may actually take less courage to attack all those “evil-doers” having abortions and the politicians who support them than it does to “bring forth what is within you.”Joel Brence, M.D.Aspen
