Long-lasting saddles

Dear Editor:

Regarding Tony Vagneur’s “Saddle Sore” piece of Aug. 27: What a revival of pleasant memories riding along the Rio Grande trail B.P. (before pavement) and up the Sunnyside, through Sawmill Park B.M.B. (before mountain bikes), with my mother and her Fallis Balanced Ride saddles.

An English rider myself, I was skeptical of the comfort of these saddles she so strongly touted. After a long ride from Starwood (again, before pavement and before ditches were fenced off) up and over Red Mountain, and down into Hunter Creek, I became a believer! So thanks for the memories, Tony. My mother still has her Balanced Ride saddles and vows she’ll keep them. Forever!
