Aspen Valley Hospital health fairs this week

Aspen Valley Hospital will hold its June health fair Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Blood-draw appointments for Thursday are full, but online registration remains open for an appointment Saturday in El Jebel or Sunday at Aspen Valley Hospital. Register at https://registration.western healthscreening.com/?pwd=S-78008.

Thursday’s health fair, a blood-draw only, will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at AVH. Saturday’s fair, at the El Jebel Community Center from 8 to 11 a.m., also is blood-draw only.



From 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at AVH, included with blood-draw appointments will be free screenings and information stations.

Free screenings will include air flow and oximetry; back screenings with Dr. Stanley Gertzbein; blood pressure and dental screenings; glaucoma and vision screenings with Dr. Michael Murphy; height, weight and body-mass index evaluations; oral cancer screenings with Dr. Heather Murphy; orthopedic screenings with Dan Greene; and skin screenings with Dr. Carl Schiller.




Information stations will be offered by Alcoholics Anonymous, Aspen Strong & Mental Health, Homecare & Hospice of the Valley, Midvalley Ambulatory Surgery & Imaging Center, nutrition and diabetes education, Opioid Crisis Community Forum event information, a relaxation station with free chair massages, trauma prevention, volunteering at AVH, WE-cycle, wellness programs at Aspen Valley Hospital with Dr. Kim Scheue, and Whitcomb Terrace assisted living.
