Applicants sought from Roaring Fork Valley for Eagle County Open Space

Eagle County is seeking a resident from the Roaring Fork Valley to serve on the Open Space Advisory Committee.

Applicants must be a resident of Eagle County and a registered voter.

The committee evaluates potential open space properties and provides recommendations on land purchases to the county commissioners.

Applicants must have specific expertise regarding real estate, conservation, wildlife, outdoor recreation management or agriculture.

The Open Space Advisory Committee meets in Eagle from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. Additional field trips are often required.

The OSAC application and additional information on the open space program is available at http://www.eaglecounty.us/openspace. Applications are due no later than Jan. 15.
