Dear Editor:On behalf of myself and the Music & Lobster Fest Crew, many thank yous are in order. A big thank you to our main sponsors KUUR Your Radio, TV Aspen and the town of Carbondale. Thank you to Steve Standiford for organizing and showcasing over 40 local musicians to a rocking crowd both nights, it was amazing. Jeff and Gail Brodsky for your exceptional hard work in providing over 1,000 Maine lobsters for us to enjoy. For all the CRMS preschool organizers, parents and volunteers for many tireless hours needed to put on such a great race. Thank you to Peak Party Rental for the spectacular tent, tables, and efficient delivery and pickup. A big thank you to Sandy Joyner at the town for selling all those tickets – you are amazing. To the Carbondale Fire Department, police, Jason Helmus and our public works department again for your support and hard work into making this event another success. Thank you to April and Kim at the Post Independent, and Gina and Jane at the Valley Journal for your coverage and support of this event. To my endless core of volunteers, without all of you this event would stand no chance. Thank you for the hard work, smiles and your time. Thank you to Ryan Loeb and Linc from Carbondale Vineyards for the superb service and knowledge you provided, many people had a chance to taste your great wines. Bill Lodge from HiPoint Brewing for the microbrew tastings – you always come through for me.To my assistant event coordinator Jessi Rochel for your many, many hours of hard work, before and after the event, and mainly for helping my brain function correctly and telling me to breathe. This event would again not be possible without you and all that you do.Thank you to all the citizens who came out and supported the event. I hope you had a great weekend in Carbondale. It was my pleasure to help provide this for you and I hope to see you all next year for your “lobstahs.” Chris “Woodsie” WoodsCarbondale RecreationMusic & Lobster Fest coordinator
