Living in the problem

Dear Editor:

I am enjoying a peaceful Sunday afternoon, interrupted by the jarring ring of our land line. It is the Young Republicans calling to get my opinion. The lady asks me if I will listen to a statement and then give her my response. I listen to a 90-second statement about what is wrong with the country and then she asks me what my biggest complaint about Obama is. I answer, “not keeping promises.”

That reply launches a fast-paced list of all the places that I can show up to protest Obama and what kinds of (sic) mean signs I can make before I show up.

I interrupt – I say, I am not interested in blame, I am only interested in positive solutions.

Click on her end. Conversation over. Go figure.
