Live Video Squirm Night Wednesday

The Aspen Times, Aspen Daily News and GrassRoots Television will host a live Video Squirm Night on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Channel 12.

Candidates for the Aspen school board, and representatives from opposing sides of the Mother Lode question will be grilled by members of the community and media. People are encouraged to send questions in advance to either paper, or call in during the show at 925-8000.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with the Mother Lode question. The City Council is asking voters if they can spend $3.25 million to purchase the restaurant and property for a future arts center.

At 6:30 p.m. or so, school board candidates Tom Clapper, Sally Hansen and Laura Kornasiewicz will get a chance to air their views and answer questions.

To submit questions in advance, call the Times at 925-3414 and ask for extension 232; e-mail; or drop them by the Main Street office. Or call the Daily News at 925-2220 and ask for extension 232; e-mail; or drop them by the paper’s Hopkins Avenue office.
