Little for younger generation |

Little for younger generation

Dear Editor:My, Mick Ireland is certainly prolific in his letter writing. Clearly he is passionate in his support for Burlingame, so much so that I sometimes wonder if he realizes what he’s saying. Take for example his recent letter in which he points out that there has been a drop in the 20- to 29-year-old population here. This he claims is a reason for Burlingame. What 20- to 29-year-old can afford to buy a Burlingame unit? And for that matter, do people in this age group really want to settle down here right out of college? We are all ignoring (perhaps with the exception of Torre) what’s really going on. There is little to attract the younger generation to Aspen. We’ve lost our night clubs, our educational institutions are stagnating and there are lots of ski areas competing for their business much better than Aspen is.Jon BuschAspen
