Linda Clare Judge Cornell

Linda Clare Judge Cornell of Houston, Texas and Aspen, Colo. passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012, while scuba diving off of the Turneffe Atoll, Belize. She was 64.
Mrs. Cornell was born on July 22, 1947 in New Orleans, La. to Edward and Jean Judge. She graduated from Chalmette Senior High School in Chalmette, La. in 1965, where she was voted most popular, most likely to succeed and homecoming queen. By all accounts, Linda fulfilled her destiny. She graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Houston in 1994.
Following a successful career in banking, Linda married David M. Cornell in 1995. She loved skiing and hiking in the mountains, relaxing by the sea and world travel. She was passionate in her views, a gracious host and a generous soul.
Mrs. Cornell was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Cornell; her son, David Cornell II and his wife Jennifer; and four grandchildren, Christopher, David, Vivi and Sophia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 20, at Red Butte Cemetery, 808 Cemetery Lane, Aspen, Colo., followed by a reception at the Maroon Creek Club.
