Limelite a local asset

Dear Editor:I would like to encourage the city of Aspen to allow the Limelite Lodge to upgrade their business as they deem necessary. As locals, they have the best interest of Aspen and the valley in their hearts. They are one of the few places left who offer the “unrich” a quality experience in this beautiful town. While I was director of the Science Outreach Center, the Limelite was the only lodging facility that would give educational nonprofits a truly affordable place to stay. Then they treated us like royalty while we were there. Brainteasers would not have happened in Aspen without the support of the Limelite over the past 18 yearsThe family that owns the Limelite does not have deep pockets, yet they have continued to give and give to the community. Now they are asking the community to let them address expansion and renovation needs. I know the good people who work for the city of Aspen will realize what an asset the Limelite has been and will continue to be and help them make it happen.Linda Singer FroningAspen
