Life lessons on the gridiron

Dear Editor:We would like to take this opportunity to thank The Aspen Elks Club Lodge #224, Ron Morehead, the Aspen School District, the parents, and the players that played for the Aspen #2, fifth- and sixth-grade football team. This season was an absolute success. We grew and came together as a team. We made a commitment to learning technique. We had so much fun. We learned what it is like to play for a team where all players must execute for success. Football is about life lessons and we are all better people from the lessons we learned this season. Good luck to all the sixth graders that are moving on. For the returning players, we look forward to next year. Thanks again for the privilege of being your coaches.Rob Gile, Joe Wilson, Debbie Alcorta, Chris Peshek and Tom ClapperAspen
