Lies and more lies

Dear Editor:

The Republicans have proven to be compulsive liars. We all know we were lied to ” to get us into the war in Iraq. Evidence was exaggerated or fabricated, John McCain was arguing for war in Iraq back in 1997 (see Senate bills drafted with Joe Lieberman).

His campaign has just put lie after lie after lie out there. His very actions inform us that the Republican party no longer thinks being level and honest with the American public is important. Its win at all costs and rule at all costs, the truth be damned.

We deserve better than this, much better. This is an utter disgrace. You cannot have a

democracy if it is based upon lies.

The Republicans have been lying to us for seven years, they lied us into the war in Iraq, and McCain is continuing this behavior. We cannot trust the Republicans to run this country, we cannot put our faith in them, when they continually lie and distort to suit their needs.

This complete lack of respect for honesty, and inability to level with the public, should raise concerns in the minds of every voter.
