Letters demean Aspen

Dear Editor:We have watched with sadness the reportage and letters posted on the Paepcke Auditorium imbroglio. Whatever opinions have been voiced, the tenor of the discussion has demeaned Aspen. It is fully unworthy of a community that has striven and succeeded in becoming a world center of humanistic enterprise, be it in music, in scholarship, in the arts. The Resnicks have given so much of themselves to virtually every community endeavor, and they have always been there when needed. For them to be so belittled over an issue that posed no more than a misunderstanding betrays a petty-mindedness unsuited to Aspen and what Aspen has come to mean to most of us.Melva BucksbaumRaymond LearsyAspen
