Inspired by Boxtel

Dear Editor:

I met Amanda Boxtel six or seven years ago, and although I haven’t actually spent time with her other than on three or four occasions, she is a very dear friend. We shall not forget how hard she worked back then as part of a team that bought a shipment of wheelchairs for underprivileged handicapped people in Bariloche, Argentina.

And she came again a few months ago with the Aspen-Bariloche Sister Cities program to share hope, advice and her wonderful, sunny smile. With her bionic suit she is trailblazing into an almost uncharted land which, with God’s help, will sooner rather than later be common ground for millions of challenged people the world over.
