Letter crossed the line
We are shocked to see a reputable newspaper print the vile anti-Semitic stereotypes contained in “Lies, corruption and distortion,” a letter printed in your July 27 issue.
It espoused classical anti-Semitic myths and conspiracy theories. Several of Ben Newell’s allegations are rooted in centuries-old stereotypes that only serve to promote hatred and intolerance. We urge readers to recognize and reject such bigoted, baseless statements, and we urge The Aspen Times to think twice before choosing to spread such hate in the Aspen community.
