Let us have our Woodstock

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:In response to Mr. Luhn’s complaint about “Thompson Tower” (Letters, April 19), I must admit he has a point. However, his complaint about “heads” migrating to his sacred turf is somewhat foolish. If you live near Woody Creek, this behavior has been happening for over three decades; wake up!If Ms. Thompson wants to throw a party for the world, god bless her. I’ll be there! As for clean up, that’s an easy one, too. Charge 20 bucks to enter Owl Farm and hire a crew, rent a couple of port-o-lets. The place will be good as new the next day. There will be money left over to plant new grass seed. NASCAR facilitates a quarter of a million people a week with very few problems. I think we owe it to Hunter to properly celebrate his life, the way he would have done it himself – pure gonzo. It should not be shut down by one stingy resident! You had your Woodstock, let us have ours.Bryan MonroeAtlanta
