Let the voters decide
Dear Editor:
I just was wondering if I’m the only person offended by Jack Hatfield and the other political operatives’ anointment of Steve Child as our next county commissioner.
With all due respect to Steve Child, I don’t see why he’s so clearly a better choice than any of the other highly qualified candidates. In fact, he appears to be the least qualified of the bunch. It would be refreshing if we the voters actually got to choose our next commissioner rather than the political machine picking for us.
I thought that’s what elections were supposed to be about.
