Let the ideas flow
Dear Editor:
TED, the online beauty of a site, has just turned down using an income-equality speech as too political. What? Too political for the 99 percent to talk about the 1 percent. It reminds me that the Ideas Festival kind of fits that spectrum. A lot of very centrist and right-wing chatter but not much in the way of ideas that are controversial. I am very hopeful that this year the festival will try to bring more ideas to the fore from the full spectrum out there. Yeah … let the festival be more political – there is an idea.
